What makes the Citroen C1 special
Citroen C1 tune: which 1.0 is yours?
One detail decides the GAN module for a C1: which 1.0 is in your car, because Europe sold it at 68, 69 and 72 hp. Citroen never sold the C1 through U.S. dealers, so its engines here are European-market units. There are no U.S. trims or model years, so match the car by its engine and hp.
The C1 I (2005–2014) makes 68 hp. The C1 II made 69 hp from 2014, often listed as 68 hp, and 72 hp from April 2018. The 1.0 and 1.2 gas engines take the GAN GA+. The C1 I’s 1.4 HDi 54 is a turbo diesel and takes the GAN GT.

Citroen C1 1.0 tune: how much more power does the GAN GA+ give?
The GAN GA+ takes the 68 hp, 93 Nm car to 76 hp and 104 Nm. Those are the stated gains for this engine type, not a dyno result for your car. GAN rates the GAN GA+ at up to 12% more power on naturally aspirated engines and the GAN GT at up to 30% on the turbo 1.4 HDi.
Flash tuner or plug-in module on a C1 1.0: what is the difference?
A flash tuner replaces the program in the engine control unit. The GAN module instead adjusts the engine sensor signals before they reach the ECU. Your factory warranty is preserved: the ECU software is never changed, and the module can be removed at any time.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 tune?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU flash tune without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
