What makes the Ford Puma special
Ford Puma tune: only the coupé can be imported
Ford never sold the Puma new in the U.S., and the modern crossover never reached U.S. dealers; the original coupé became import-eligible under the 25-year rule in 2022, and later model years follow as they reach 25. The name has been used twice: for a coupé built from 1997 to 2001 and for a crossover sold since 2019. Which Puma you have decides what a Ford Puma tune can do. The coupé had the 1.4, 1.6 and 1.7 Zetec-S; the catalog covers only the 1.7 at 125 hp, which takes the GAN GA+.
That 1.7 uses variable camshaft timing and was developed with Yamaha involvement. The crossover rows cover the 1.0 EcoBoost at 95 and 125 hp and the Hybrid at 125 and 155 hp, so even 125 hp can mean two different engines. The Puma ST is the 1.5 EcoBoost at 200 hp, built from 2020 to 2024. Every one of these crossover engines takes the GAN GT.

The 155 hp Hybrid reaches 188 hp with the GAN GT. Those are catalog figures for the engine type, not a dyno reading of your Puma.
What does the oil pump belt on the Puma 1.0 EcoBoost need?
The 1.0 EcoBoost drives its camshafts by chain, while the oil pump belt runs in the oil. The belt wears faster unless you use the engine oil Ford specifies.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 tune?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU flash tune without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
