What makes the GAZ Gazel special
GAZelle tune: the Cummins turbodiesel on a grey import
GAZ never sold the Gazelle through U.S. dealers, so match one by engine code and hp. Gazelle Business and Gazelle Next are the names you will see in the catalog, and there are no U.S. trims or model years. Any GAZelle performance chip comes down to a single engine: the 2.8 Cummins ISF, a four-cylinder turbodiesel fitted to the GAZelle Business from 2010 and the GAZelle Next from 2013. As a turbo engine, it takes the GAN GT.

On the GAN GT, the Cummins ISF 2.8 of this GAZelle reaches 155 hp. The GAN GT is rated at up to 30% more power on a turbo diesel; those are stated gains for the engine type, not a dyno reading of your van.
GAZelle Next: flash tuner or GAN module on a work van?
A flash tuner rewrites the factory software, while a GAN module sits between the engine sensors and the ECU and adjusts their signals. Factory software, checksums and the flash counter stay untouched, and the engine's protections remain active.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 tune?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU flash tune without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
