Each engine gets its own performance chip: GAN GT / GTL or GAN GA / GA+. Prices are per performance chip and include the current discount.
Not sure which engine you have?
The badge alone isn’t enough: in this generation, the same engine came with different horsepower ratings, each with its own calibration. Check the horsepower in your owner’s manual or vehicle documents and find the matching row.
Same badge, different factory power outputs in this generation:
Honda CR-V III tune: what changes
The module plugs in between the sensors and the engine control unit (ECU) and adjusts their signals. It never rewrites your ECU software: your factory warranty is preserved, and the module can be removed at any time.

What makes the Honda CR-V III special
Honda CR-V 3rd gen tune: the U.S. cars are gas, in Europe the year picks the diesel
Honda sold the third-generation CR-V in the U.S. for model years 2007 through 2011, and the redesigned 2012 CR-V began the fourth generation. U.S. trims were the LX, EX and EX-L, with the SE added for 2011. The U.S. 2007 through 2009 CR-V runs a naturally aspirated 2.4 i-VTEC rated at 166 hp, the 2010 and 2011 cars are rated at 180 hp, and the table has a row for each figure. On a naturally aspirated engine like this, a performance chip is about throttle response and drivability, not boost. The 2012 U.S. CR-V is rated at 185 hp and belongs to the next generation, so match it by the hp figure, not by this page's years.
On the European CR-V III (RE, also called Mk3), the production year decides the diesel, which changed in October 2009. A 2007 or 2008 car has the first diesel, the 2.2 i-CTDi with 140 hp and 340 Nm, built until September 2009. The 2.2 i-DTEC with 150 hp and 350 Nm took over from October 2009. The catalog lists the two diesels as separate rows, both for the GAN GT: the i-CTDi gains 41 hp and 93 Nm, the i-DTEC 43 hp and 95 Nm. The two gains are only 2 hp apart, so pick the row that matches your build date.
The gas engines of the CR-V III
The naturally aspirated 2.0 i-VTEC (R20A2), at 150 hp and 192 Nm, was built from 2006 to 2012 with a six-speed manual or a five-speed automatic. The 2.4 i-VTEC, at 166 hp and 220 Nm, is naturally aspirated too and came with the five-speed automatic. Both gas engines take the GAN GA+. Every version of the CR-V III has Real Time 4WD all-wheel drive.
Honda CR-V III tuning FAQ
European CR-V III 2.2 i-DTEC 150: how much does the GAN GT add?
The GAN GT takes the engine from 150 hp and 350 Nm to 193 hp and 445 Nm. A turbodiesel like this is the engine type where the GAN GT is rated at up to 30% more power. Those are the rated figures for this engine type, not a dyno result from your car.
CR-V performance chip: what does it add on the gas engines?
The 2.0 i-VTEC (150 hp, 192 Nm) gains 18 hp and 23 Nm, and the 2.4 i-VTEC (166 hp, 220 Nm) gains 20 hp and 26 Nm. The GAN GA+ is rated at up to 12% more power, and a naturally aspirated engine does not go beyond that.
CR-V 2.2 diesel: what does a performance chip not fix?
On the 2.2 i-CTDi and i-DTEC, the diesel particulate filter (DPF) clogs when the car mostly makes short trips, and the flexible EGR bypass hose can crack. The performance chip adds power; it neither cleans the filter nor replaces the hose.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 tune?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU flash tune without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
