What makes the Honda Stepwgn special
Honda Stepwgn tune: a Honda built for another market
Honda never sold the Stepwgn, an eight-seat people carrier, in the U.S.; every one here is an imported used vehicle. Honda did not sell it in Europe either, and since 2015 its exports have gone only to countries in Asia. The generations are coded RF (1996–2005), RG (2005–2009), RK (2009–2015) and RP (from 2015), so a Stepwgn tuner has to match the engines of that home market.
The RP generation splits in two: RP1 to RP5 until 2022, RP6 to RP8 after that. Europe's Honda people carriers were the Stream and the FR-V, and in 2017 a Spanish magazine wrote that Europe lacked a van like the Stepwgn. The RP's 1.5 turbo (150 hp, 203 Nm) takes the GAN GT and gains 43 hp and 61 Nm.
Naturally aspirated 2.0 versions
Three versions of the naturally aspirated 2.0 i-VTEC are listed, at 150, 155 and 160 hp. All take the GAN GA+ and gain 18, 19 and 19 hp, plus 23 Nm each. Spada is a trim line of the model, and the Spada 2.0 at 150 hp matches the plain 2.0 at 150 hp figure for figure. Spada is a Japanese-market trim, not a U.S. Honda trim. Across the generations, the naturally aspirated engines are the B20B, K20A, K24A and R20A.
Buying an imported Stepwgn
If you drive it daily, the 2.0 i-VTEC delivers 150 to 155 hp. An RK import (2009 to 2015) came only with the 2.0 at 150 hp, so the 150 hp version is the one to pick.

For a Stepwgn 1.5 turbo tune, the GAN GT takes 150 hp and 203 Nm to 193 hp and 264 Nm. Expect up to 30% more power from the GAN GT on a turbo gas engine like this; the figures are the stated gains for this engine type, not a dyno reading of your car.
Is the Honda StepWagon the same car as the Stepwgn?

What does the GAN GA+ do for the 2.0 i-VTEC?
With the GAN GA+ you get up to 12% more power, so a naturally aspirated Stepwgn gains less than the turbo version. The ECU software is never changed and the module comes off at any time, so your factory warranty is preserved.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 tune?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU flash tune without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
