What makes the Jaguar XF special
Jaguar XF tune: from the 3.0 V6 Diesel to the supercharged V6
The mainstream U.S. XF runs on gas, and apart from the 20d added for the 2017 model year, the diesels listed here are European engines. In the catalog, the 3.0 V6 Diesel is the first engine to check: 240 hp, or 275 hp and 600 Nm in the S version. Both the 2.2 D and the Ingenium 2.0 D diesels also go with the GAN GT. On the gas side, the 3.0 V6 (238 hp) and the 4.2 V8 (298 hp) take the GAN GA+.
The U.S. XF Supercharged (470 hp) and XFR (510 hp) V8s each have a row in the catalog. Before you order a Jaguar XF performance chip, settle which module fits: the supercharged 3.0 V6, at 340 and 380 hp, goes with the GAN GT. The same 340 hp and 380 hp ratings apply in the U.S. to the XF with the supercharged V6 and to the XF S. The 2013–2015 U.S. 2.0T is rated at 240 hp, and the catalog's 2.0 T row is that engine; the later 2.0 turbos at 247 and 296 hp have no row yet.

How much power does the 275 hp XF 3.0 Diesel S gain?
Expect the XF 3.0 V6 Diesel S to climb from 275 hp and 600 Nm to 346 hp and 734 Nm on the GAN GT. Read these as the stated gains for this engine type, not a dyno reading of your car.
What does a performance chip add to the XF V8 and the supercharged V6?
On the 4.2 V8 (298 hp), the GAN GA+ adds 24 hp and 33 Nm, within its rating of up to 12% more power. The GAN GT adds 69 hp and 88 Nm to the supercharged 3.0 V6 with 340 hp.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 tune?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU flash tune without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
