What makes the Kia K4 special
Kia K4 tune: the U.S. sedan, the hatchback and the catalog rows
The European K4 is a five-door hatchback that Kia showed on September 17, 2025, with deliveries from the fourth quarter that year. In the U.S., the K4 sedan arrived for the 2025 model year to replace the Kia Forte, and a K4 Hatchback was added for 2026. A performance chip is matched to one engine, not to a model name, so a K4 tune starts with the engine. The catalog's two engines, the 1.6 T and the 2.0, belong to sedans from other markets, not to the European hatchback.
The U.S. K4's base 2.0-liter is rated at 147 hp, the same figure as the catalog's 2.0 row. On a U.S. K4 the 1.6-liter turbo comes only in the GT-Line Turbo sedan, rated at 190 hp, which differs from the catalog's 1.6 T row. The hatchback itself has the 1.0 T-GDi at 115 hp and the 1.6 T-GDi at 150 or 180 hp. The figures on this page cover only the two sedan engines.

Is there a Kia K4 tune for the hatchback?
The hatchback's 1.0 T-GDi and 1.6 T-GDi are not in the catalog. The base U.S. K4 uses the naturally aspirated 2.0 four-cylinder, which does have a row in the catalog.
Does the 175 hp 1.6 T row fit a U.S. K4 GT-Line Turbo?
The 1.6 T row, 175 hp and 265 Nm, matches an earlier K4 sedan sold outside Europe, not the hatchback's 1.6 T-GDi. A U.S. K4 GT-Line Turbo is rated at 190 hp instead, so it does not match that row. On the GAN GT, the catalog engine reaches 212 hp and 321 Nm, and the GAN GT is rated at up to 30% more power. Those are stated gains for the engine type, not a dyno reading of your car.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 tune?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU flash tune without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
