Not sure which engine you have?
The badge alone isn’t enough: in this generation, the same engine came with different horsepower ratings, each with its own calibration. Check the horsepower in your owner’s manual or vehicle documents and find the matching row.

Kia Stinger tune: what changes
The module plugs in between the sensors and the engine control unit (ECU) and adjusts their signals. It never rewrites your ECU software: your factory warranty is preserved, and the module can be removed at any time.

What makes the Kia Stinger special
Kia Stinger tune: the engines in the catalog all take the GAN GT
Kia no longer sells the Stinger new in the U.S., so a U.S. Stinger is a used car. Kia sold the Stinger in Europe from October 2017 to May 2023, and after the 2020 facelift only the 3.3 T-GDI at 366 hp stayed in the range. So the catalog covers three Stinger engines, and all three take the GAN GT.
The 3.3 T-GDI is a twin-turbo V6 at 370 hp until August 2018 and at 366 hp from September 2018, when it gained a particulate filter. Both versions have rows: +63 hp and +87 Nm (+64 lb-ft) on the 370 hp engine, +62 hp and +87 Nm (+64 lb-ft) on the 366 hp engine. The U.S. 3.3 twin-turbo V6 is rated at 365 hp for 2018–2021 and 368 hp for 2022–2023; the catalog's 370 and 366 rows are metric figures (365 hp is 370 PS), so confirm your engine before you order.
The 2.0 T-GDI and the 2.2 CRDi
The 2.0 T-GDI made 255 hp until August 2018 and 247 hp from September 2018, and that 2.0 delivers 353 Nm either way. The catalog row adds 42 hp and 60 Nm. The U.S. 2.0 turbo is rated at 255 hp for 2018–2021; the catalog's 247 row is the later European rating in metric PS, so check the engine first.
The 2.2 CRDi, at 200 hp and 440 Nm, was built from October 2017 to June 2020 and gains 47 hp and 80 Nm with the module. In Europe, the 2.0 T-GDI and the 2.2 CRDi drive the rear wheels, with all-wheel drive optional on the diesel; the 3.3 T-GDI is all-wheel drive, and all three use an eight-speed automatic. The 2.5 turbo of the 2022 and 2023 U.S. cars, at 300 hp, has no row in the catalog yet.
Recall campaigns in Germany
In Germany, Kia ran two recall campaigns: one for the oil-feed pipe of the left turbocharger on the 3.3 T-GDI, and one for a piston in the high-pressure fuel pump valve of the 2.0 T-GDI. Both repairs are free, and the 2.0 T-GDI campaign also updates the control unit software.
Kia Stinger tuning FAQ
Kia Stinger tuner: how much does the 3.3 T-GDI at 366 hp gain?
The GAN GT takes this engine from 366 hp and 510 Nm as delivered to 428 hp and 597 Nm. As a turbo gas engine, it is rated for up to 30% more power on the GAN GT; those are the stated gains for this engine type, not a dyno result from your vehicle.
Does the turbocharger oil-pipe recall matter for a GAN module?
The recall covers the 3.3 T-GDI built from November 2016 to March 2023, and the pipe repair is free. Have a Kia dealer do the recall work first.
Kia Stinger performance chip or flash tuner?
There are two methods: a flash tune rewrites the factory software in the engine control unit (ECU), while the GAN tuning module sits between the engine sensors and the ECU and adjusts their signals. With the module, the factory software, checksums and flash counter stay untouched, and the engine's factory protections stay active. On the 3.3 twin-turbo V6, buyers usually choose between a flash tune and a plug-in module like the GAN GT.
Does the Stinger 2.2 CRDi have a GAN module?
Yes, for the European 2.2 CRDi: it takes the GAN GT, and according to the catalog the module gives it 47 hp and 80 Nm more. Your factory warranty is preserved: the ECU software is never changed, and you can remove the module at any time.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 tune?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU flash tune without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
