Not sure which engine you have?
The badge alone isn’t enough: in this generation, the same engine came with different horsepower ratings, each with its own calibration. Check the horsepower in your owner’s manual or vehicle documents and find the matching row.

Lexus NX tune: what changes
The module plugs in between the sensors and the engine control unit (ECU) and adjusts their signals. It never rewrites your ECU software: your factory warranty is preserved, and the module can be removed at any time.

What makes the Lexus NX special
Lexus NX tune: three drivelines in one model
In the U.S., the NX has been sold new since the 2015 model year. In Europe, the first-generation NX sold about 170,000 units between 2014 and 2021. NX tuning comes down to three drivelines: the 2.0 turbo, the first-generation 2.5 hybrid and the second-generation 2.5 hybrid. The turbo takes the GAN GT. For the hybrids, the GAN GA+ figures refer to the gas engine only. Renamed the NX 300 in 2017, the NX 200t carries the 2.0 turbo 8AR-FTS (238 hp, 350 Nm) and a six-speed automatic. All-wheel drive was an option. U.S. specs rate the NX 200t and the NX 300 at 235 hp; the catalog's 200T and 300T rows list 238, the metric figure for the same engine, so match by engine and model year.
In the NX 300h, a 2.5 gas engine (155 hp, 210 Nm) works with an electric motor to deliver 197 hp of system output. Since November 2021 the second generation has offered the NX 350h, whose gas part makes 190 hp and 239 Nm and whose system output is 244 hp. In the U.S. the second generation, from the 2022 model year, is badged NX 250, NX 350, NX 350h and NX 450h+. The U.S. NX 350 is a 2.4-liter turbo rated at 275 hp, and it has no row in the catalog yet. A plug-in hybrid, the NX 450h+ has a gas part of 185 hp and 227 Nm and 309 hp of system output. The NX 450h+'s 2.5 plug-in hybrid is not in the catalog.
What the catalog figures mean
The catalog lists the NX 200t and the NX 300 as separate rows, both at 238 hp and 350 Nm. 155 hp is the gas engine of the NX 300h, and 190 hp is that of the NX 350h. The 300h's 196 hp is its system output, paired with the gas engine's torque. The 150 and 151 hp NX 200 is a version sold in other markets.
On hybrids, the GAN GA+ numbers describe the gas engine alone, and the effect on system output isn't stated. The U.S. NX 300h is quoted with a combined hybrid output, so don't read the catalog's gas-engine figure as that number. The lineup also carries the names NX 300, NX 350h and NX 450h+.
Lexus NX tuning FAQ
Lexus NX 300 tune: is it the same as the NX 200t?
The NX 300 is simply the NX 200t after the 2017 facelift, and both carry the 2.0 turbo at 238 hp and 350 Nm. The catalog shows different GAN GT results for each, so pick the row that names your model.
Lexus NX 2.0T tune: how much more power, and how does it differ from a flash tune?
The NX 200t gets 303 hp and 445 Nm from the GAN GT. The same engine in the NX 300 reaches 278 hp and 410 Nm. The GAN GT is rated at up to 30% more power. Those are stated gains for the engine type, not a dyno reading of your car. Unlike a flash tune, the GAN performance chip doesn't rewrite your ECU software. It sits between the engine sensors and the ECU, and the factory software stays untouched.
What does the 155 hp figure of the NX 300h mean?
It is the gas engine of the hybrid. System output with the electric motor is 197 hp.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 tune?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU flash tune without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
