Each engine gets its own performance chip: GAN GT / GTL or GAN GA / GA+. Prices are per performance chip and include the current discount.
Not sure which engine you have?
The badge alone isn’t enough: in this generation, the same engine came with different horsepower ratings, each with its own calibration. Check the horsepower in your owner’s manual or vehicle documents and find the matching row.
Same badge, different factory power outputs in this generation:
Mercedes-Benz E W212 tune: what changes
The module plugs in between the sensors and the engine control unit (ECU) and adjusts their signals. It never rewrites your ECU software: your factory warranty is preserved, and the module can be removed at any time.

What makes the Mercedes-Benz E W212 special
Mercedes W212 E-Class tune: the U.S. E350 and E400 versus the European E 200
Mercedes sold the W212 E-Class in the U.S. from the 2010 model year through 2016. U.S. cars were badged E250 BlueTEC, E350, E350 BlueTEC, E400, E550 and E63 AMG; the European E180 and E200 badges were never used here. A European E 200 on the W212 hides two different engines under one name. The E 200 runs the 1.8-liter M271 turbo until February 2013 and the 2.0-liter M274 turbo from March 2013. Know that before any W212 tune on a European-market car.
Both engines make 184 hp, yet the codes and displacements differ: 1,796 cc for the M271 and 1,991 cc for the M274. The facelift entered series production on March 1, 2013 and reached dealers in April 2013. The E 250 changed at the same moment: the CGI had 204 hp and 310 Nm, the M274 has 211 hp and 350 Nm. The gas fours and the CDI diesels take the GAN GT, and so does the twin-turbo V6 of the E 400, which has 333 hp from 2013. The U.S. E400 of 2015 and 2016 is a twin-turbo V6 rated at 329 hp, close to that 333 hp row; the earlier E400 Hybrid is a different powertrain.
The naturally aspirated V6 and the body codes
The naturally aspirated V6 engines of the E 300 and E 350 go with the GAN GA+. The U.S. E350 V6 is rated at 268 hp for 2010 and 2011 and 302 hp for 2012 through 2016, which are the E 350 rows at 272 hp and 306 hp. The U.S. E350 BlueTEC is a turbodiesel V6 rated at 210 hp, which is the 350 BlueTEC (US Spec) row in the table. The E 300 makes 231 hp, later 252 hp, while the E 350 makes 272, 292 and then 306 hp.
W212 means the sedan and S212 the wagon; the C207 coupe and A207 convertible are a separate series. The sedan was built from 2009 to January 2016, and the wagon until May 2016. Start from your car's build date and its engine code.
Mercedes-Benz E W212 tuning FAQ
European E 200 (W212): which GAN performance chip, and how much more power?
The catalog lists the E 200 at 184 hp and 270 Nm and at 236 hp and 355 Nm with the GAN GT. Those are the rated figures for this engine type, not a dyno result from your car. A car built up to February 2013 and one built from March 2013 carry different engines, so check your car's year.
W212 facelift: which engines changed in March 2013?
From March 2013 the E 180, E 200 and E 250 run the M274, and the E 180 with 156 hp and 250 Nm joined the range. The V6 range changed earlier: in September 2011 the E 300 went from a 3.0-liter V6 with 231 hp to a 3.5-liter V6 with 252 hp. The four-cylinder diesels kept the OM 651 and stay with the GAN GT.
E350 tune: is the V6 in the W212 E 300 or E 350 covered?
Yes. Both V6 engines are naturally aspirated, and the catalog pairs them with the GAN GA+. That means up to 12%, less than the turbo E 200 or the CDI diesels get, and the exact figure depends on output and year: the E 350 with 272 hp and 350 Nm goes to 294 hp and 378 Nm.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 tune?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU flash tune without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
