Each engine gets its own performance chip: GAN GT / GTL or GAN GA / GA+. Prices are per performance chip and include the current discount.
Not sure which engine you have?
The badge alone isn’t enough: in this generation, the same engine came with different horsepower ratings, each with its own calibration. Check the horsepower in your owner’s manual or vehicle documents and find the matching row.
Same badge, different factory power outputs in this generation:
Mitsubishi Eclipse tune: what changes
More power and torque with no ECU flash and no new parts – the module only adjusts the engine sensor signals. Your factory warranty is preserved: the ECU software is never changed, and the module can be removed at any time.

What makes the Mitsubishi Eclipse special
Mitsubishi Eclipse tune: start with the 4G63 and your engine code
The Eclipse was sold new in the U.S. through the 2012 model year, as a coupe and as the Spyder convertible. Body codes and trim names pile up on the Eclipse: D30, G1, GS, Spyder. Europe officially got only the first two generations, and a European car runs the 2.0 DOHC, code 4G63. The engine, not the trim name, decides which performance chip fits.
The Eclipse II (D30), built from 1995 to 2000, came as the GS 2.0 DOHC at 146 hp and 177 Nm until 1996, then at 141 hp and 179 Nm. The catalog row for the GS 2.0 reads 142 hp and 177 Nm. Germany got the first-generation D20 in special versions only: the GS 2.0 DOHC at 150 hp and, from 1994, the turbocharged GS-T at 195 hp. The 150 hp D20 GS has no row in the catalog.
The American generations in the catalog
The Eclipse III (2000 to 2005) and Eclipse IV (2005 to 2012) were built for the United States; in Europe they are gray imports with no Mitsubishi dealer network. Past that first row, the catalog's engines are American-market units: a 2.4, a 3.0 V6 at 210 hp and a 3.8 V6 at 263 hp or 265 hp. The U.S. 3.8 V6 is rated at 263 hp or 265 hp depending on model year, and both figures have a row in the catalog. The U.S. 2.4 MIVEC is rated at 162 hp, and the catalog has a 2.4 row at that figure.
Those figures are U.S. ratings in SAE hp, which differ from the numbers quoted in Europe. The 3.0 V6 is the 6G72, and its parts are shared with the Galant V6 24V. The Spyder convertible never reached Europe, so its figures apply to American cars only.
Mitsubishi Eclipse tuning FAQ
How much does the D30 GS 2.0 gain with a GAN performance chip?
On the GAN GA+, the catalog's 142 hp and 177 Nm go to 159 hp and 198 Nm. The GAN GA+ is rated at up to 12% more power. Those are rated gains for the engine type, not dyno results from your car.
Eclipse 3.0 V6 or 3.8 V6 performance chip: which row do I pick?
Match by engine code and model year: the 3.0 V6 makes 210 hp and 278 Nm, the 3.8 V6 263 hp or 265 hp. On 2004-2005 U.S. cars the 3.0 V6 is rated at 200 hp in the GT and 210 hp in the trim above it, so look for the 210 hp row if that is yours. Both engines belong to the American generations.
Does the Eclipse Spyder take the same performance chip as the coupe?
The catalog lists the Spyder on its own, apart from the coupe, and nothing confirms that the two share engine codes.
Is the turbo Eclipse GS-T in the catalog?
No. The 195 hp GS-T that Germany received from 1994 has no row, and neither do the American GS-T and GSX. The turbo 4G63 in the second-generation GS-T and GSX is a popular tuning platform in the U.S., but the catalog does not carry it.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 tune?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU flash tune without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
