Each engine gets its own performance chip: GAN GT / GTL or GAN GA / GA+. Prices are per performance chip and include the current discount.
Not sure which engine you have?
The badge alone isn’t enough: in this generation, the same engine came with different horsepower ratings, each with its own calibration. Check the horsepower in your owner’s manual or vehicle documents and find the matching row.
Same badge, different factory power outputs in this generation:
Nissan 350Z tune: what changes
More power and torque with no ECU flash and no new parts – the module only adjusts the engine sensor signals. Your factory warranty is preserved: the ECU software is never changed, and the module can be removed at any time.

What makes the Nissan 350Z special
Nissan 350Z tuner: the model year decides the engine
Your 350Z's output depends on the build date: 280 hp until 2005, about 300 hp from September 2005, and 313 hp from January 2007. Nissan sold the 350Z in the U.S. as a 2003-2009 model. U.S. cars are rated at 287 hp for the standard VQ35DE (2003-2005, and 2006 automatics), 300 hp for the Rev-Up and 306 hp for the 2007-2009 VQ35HR, and each rating has its own row in the table. So the build year is where every 350Z fitment starts. The first 350Z, from 2003, carries the original 3.5 V6: the VQ35DE with 280 hp and 363 Nm, and a six-speed manual as standard in Germany. The VQ35DE Rev-Up arrived with the September 2005 facelift at 300 hp and 353 Nm, and from then on it was the standard engine in every 350Z. Starting in January 2007, the VQ35HR makes 313 hp and 358 Nm, and it revs up to 7,500 rpm.
The VQ35DE and the VQ35HR are different tuning platforms, so the engine name matters as much as the year. In Europe, the coupe arrived in October 2003 and the roadster in March 2005; coupe sales ended in December 2008, roadster sales in 2009. To clear the VQ35HR, the January 2007 facelift added a raised hood. The 2005 35th Anniversary Edition, with the 301 hp engine, was limited to 700 cars for Europe, 100 of them for Germany. In Germany alone, 6,309 350Zs were registered from 2003 to 2009, 1,897 of them in 2004. Japan calls this car the Fairlady Z.
Naturally aspirated V6: what the GAN GA+ adds
For a 350Z performance chip, the key point is that this V6 is naturally aspirated and takes the GAN GA+, so expect sharper throttle response, not turbo-style boost. In the catalog, the GAN GA+ takes the Rev-Up from 300 hp to 324 hp.
Name your engine precisely
For a 350Z VQ35 engine, give the exact name: VQ35DE, VQ35DE Rev-Up or VQ35HR. Those names match the outputs of 280, 300 and 313 hp on the European car; the body code is Z33.
Nissan 350Z tuning FAQ
Which 350Z is mine, 280, 300 or 313 hp, and what does the GAN GA+ add?
Start with the build date, then the output: 280 hp, about 300 hp or 313 hp. On the 313 hp VQ35HR with 358 Nm, the GAN GA+ reaches 338 hp and 387 Nm. Treat these as stated gains for the engine type, not dyno results from your car. The GAN GA+ is rated at up to 12% more power on a naturally aspirated engine like this one.
350Z: plug-in module or flash tune, what is the difference?
A flash tune rewrites the software in the control unit, while the GAN module leaves it alone and adjusts the sensor signals instead. The GAN module comes off in about a minute, and the factory software, checksums and flash counter are never touched.
What does the GAN GA+ add to a 350Z VQ35DE with 280 hp?
On the 280 hp VQ35DE with 363 Nm, the GAN GA+ gets you to 302 hp and 392 Nm.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 tune?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU flash tune without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
