Each engine gets its own performance chip: GAN GT / GTL or GAN GA / GA+. Prices are per performance chip and include the current discount.
Not sure which engine you have?
The badge alone isn’t enough: in this generation, the same engine came with different horsepower ratings, each with its own calibration. Check the horsepower in your owner’s manual or vehicle documents and find the matching row.
Same badge, different factory power outputs in this generation:
Nissan Versa tune: what changes
More power and torque with no ECU flash and no new parts – the module only adjusts the engine sensor signals. Your factory warranty is preserved: the ECU software is never changed, and the module can be removed at any time.

What makes the Nissan Versa special
Nissan Versa tune and its European cousin, the Tiida
The Versa sedan was sold in the U.S. from the 2007 through the 2025 model year, in three generations: C11, N17 and N18. The Nissan Tiida, Europe's counterpart to the Versa, was sold in Germany from January 2008; Nissan stopped importing it in 2011 because demand was too low. So for a Nissan Versa tuner, the engine and its hp matter more than the name: the module works with the engine's output. The German Tiida had the 1.6 HR16DE at 110 hp and 153 Nm and the 1.8 MR18DE at 126 hp and 173 Nm.
Transmissions: five-speed manual or four-speed automatic on the 1.6, six-speed manual on the 1.8. Outside Germany the Tiida also came with the Renault 1.5 dCi. The Versa shares these two engine families. In the American Versa, the 1.8 MR18DE put out 122 hp in the hatchback and 124 hp in the sedan.
Which Versa engine is yours?
From 2013 to 2019, the Versa Note carried the 1.6 HR16DE at 109 hp and 145 Nm. The Versa sedan, which arrived a year earlier, ran the same engine. In the U.S., the sedans from 2012 to 2019 carry that 109 hp 1.6 too, so use the 109 hp row. From 2019 the Versa III keeps the 1.6 HR16DE, now rated at 122 hp and 155 Nm. The 122 hp rating matches the catalog row for the 2020 to 2025 U.S. Versa.
The first-generation 1.6, rated at 107 hp, has its own row as well. The Versa III shares the fifth-generation Micra platform, and Europe never got it. A naturally aspirated 1.6 limits the gain, and the GAN GA+ is rated at up to 12% more power. The European Note had different engines than the Versa Note, so it does not match the American 1.6. On an imported Versa, go by engine code and output, not body style.
Nissan Versa tuning FAQ
109 hp or 122 hp: which 1.6 is in my Versa?
The 109 hp engine, 145 Nm, powers the earlier cars above. Versa III cars built since 2019 have the 122 hp engine with 155 Nm.
How much more power does a Versa 1.6 122 hp performance chip add?
Stock is 122 hp and 155 Nm in the catalog; the GAN GA+ lifts it to 137 hp and 174 Nm. The GAN GA+ is rated at up to 12% more power and, in steady driving, up to 15% better fuel economy. Those are rated gains for the engine type, not dyno results from your car.
Is the Tiida's engine the same as the Versa 1.8?
Yes. Both use the 1.8 MR18DE, which makes 126 hp and 173 Nm in the German Tiida.
Which GAN performance chip fits the Versa 1.6 at 109 hp?
The 1.6 HR16DE at 109 hp and 145 Nm takes the GAN GA+, which lifts it to 122 hp and 162 Nm.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 tune?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU flash tune without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
