What makes the Peugeot 206 special

Peugeot 206 performance chip: mostly a gas-engine question

Peugeot never officially sold the 206 in the U.S., so the engine list below is the European one. For a Peugeot 206 performance chip, the engine decides the module, and most of these cars run on gas. Gas engines from 60 to 110 hp, the 1.1, 1.4 and 1.6, are GAN GA+ territory, so a 206 with the 1.4 is a GA+ car.

Pair the GAN GA+ with the 177 hp RC too, and with the 2.0 16V S16 and GTi at 135 and 136 hp. Diesels move up to the GAN GT instead: the 1.4 HDi (68 hp), the 2.0 HDi (90 hp) and the 1.6 HDi (109 hp). In Germany, the 206 was the best-selling imported car from 2001 to 2004.

What does the GAN GA+ add to a Peugeot 206 1.4i at 75 hp?

In the catalog, the 75 hp, 111 Nm engine goes to 84 hp and 124 Nm with the GAN GA+, well within the up to 12% this line is rated for. Coil-pack misfires are a common talking point on the 1.4 gas engine, and a performance chip doesn't repair them, so fix any misfire first. Those are the stated gains for this engine type, not dyno results from your own car.

Flash tuner or plug-in module for a Peugeot 206 HDi?

The 2.0 HDi at 90 hp and 205 Nm takes the GAN GT. A flash tuner rewrites the factory ECU software; the GAN module instead sits between the engine sensors and the ECU and adjusts their signals.
