Each engine gets its own performance chip: GAN GT / GTL or GAN GA / GA+. Prices are per performance chip and include the current discount.
Not sure which engine you have?
The badge alone isn’t enough: in this generation, the same engine came with different horsepower ratings, each with its own calibration. Check the horsepower in your owner’s manual or vehicle documents and find the matching row.
Same badge, different factory power outputs in this generation:
Suzuki SX4 tune: what changes
The module plugs in between the sensors and the engine control unit (ECU) and adjusts their signals. It never rewrites your ECU software: your factory warranty is preserved, and the module can be removed at any time.

What makes the Suzuki SX4 special
Suzuki SX4 tune: what the U.S. got, and why 2009 matters
Suzuki sold the first-generation SX4 in the U.S. from model year 2007 through 2013 as the SX4 Crossover, the SX4 Sport sedan and the SX4 Sportback. Every U.S. SX4 had the naturally aspirated 2.0 gas engine, rated at 143 hp through 2009 and 150 hp from 2010; the catalog's 2.0i rows at 143 and 150 are the ones to compare, though the table figures are metric. The CVT version, sold from the 2010 model year, is rated at 148 hp and has no row in the catalog yet. The rest of the catalog page follows the European range, where new emissions rules led Suzuki to change the engines mid-cycle. For scale, Germany registered 52,303 new SX4s from 2006 to 2015, and 2009 was the best year with 8,067.
Two things changed: the 1.6 VVT went from 107 to 117 hp, and the 2.0 DDiS (135 hp, 320 Nm) replaced the 1.9 DDiS (120 hp, 280 Nm). By date: 107 hp for the 1.6 lasted until August 2009; the 1.9 DDiS was built from June 2006 to August 2009; the 2.0 DDiS took over in September 2009 and ran to June 2014. A 1.6 VVT gas engine takes the GAN GA+, which lifts the 107 hp version to 120 hp. Those two dates decide which version you have. A sedan arrived beside the hatchback in October 2007 and follows the same dates, and the crossover could be ordered with i-AWD four-wheel drive.
Diesels and the S-Cross: not U.S. models
The two European diesels were the 1.9 DDiS (120 hp) and the 2.0 DDiS (135 hp), and both take the GAN GT. A 1.6 DDiS at 90 hp is also in the catalog. The S-Cross was not sold in the U.S. either. That second generation, the SX4 S-Cross, reached Europe in fall 2013. You'll find its 1.6 DDiS (120 hp, 320 Nm) on this page as the S-Cross 1.6 DDiS.
Buyers could pick front-wheel drive or AllGrip on the S-Cross, and AllGrip diesels got a six-speed twin-clutch transmission in June 2015. The later 1.4 BoosterJet at 140 hp, plus the 129 hp mild hybrid, has no row under the SX4: the catalog lists that same engine as the 1.4 Boosterjet of the Suzuki Vitara 2015. The S-Cross 1.0 BoosterJet is not in the catalog.
Suzuki SX4 tuning FAQ
What does the GAN GT add to the SX4 2.0 DDiS?
Fit the GAN GT and the 2.0 DDiS moves from 135 hp / 320 Nm to 175 hp / 409 Nm. For turbo engines the GAN GT carries a rating of up to 30% more power. Those are rated gains for this engine type, not a dyno result from your own car.
Is the S-Cross 1.6 DDiS the same diesel family?
Yes. It is a Fiat Multijet diesel like the 1.9 and 2.0 DDiS in the SX4, and the S-Cross 1.6 DDiS is the D16AA, rated at 120 hp and 320 Nm from 2013. It takes the GAN GT, and the catalog shows 156 hp and 409 Nm with the module.
Which GAN performance chip fits the SX4 1.9 DDiS, and which fits a U.S. SX4?
A U.S. SX4 has the naturally aspirated 2.0 gas engine, so it takes the GAN GA+, not the GAN GT. The European 1.9 DDiS built from 2006 to 2009 used the GAN GT instead: 120 hp / 280 Nm stock, 156 hp / 361 Nm with the module.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 tune?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU flash tune without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
