Each engine gets its own performance chip: GAN GT / GTL or GAN GA / GA+. Prices are per performance chip and include the current discount.
Not sure which engine you have?
The badge alone isn’t enough: in this generation, the same engine came with different horsepower ratings, each with its own calibration. Check the horsepower in your owner’s manual or vehicle documents and find the matching row.
Same badge, different factory power outputs in this generation:
Volvo V60 tune: what changes
The module plugs in between the sensors and the engine control unit (ECU) and adjusts their signals. It never rewrites your ECU software: your factory warranty is preserved, and the module can be removed at any time.

What makes the Volvo V60 special
Volvo V60 tune: two generations, one in the catalog
Volvo sold the V60 in the U.S. in two generations, as the V60 T5, T5 AWD and T6 AWD R-Design first and as the redesigned T5, T6 and T8 later. There are two Volvo V60 generations: the V60 I of 2010 to 2018 and the V60 II, a different car on the SPA platform, from 2018. The V60 engines in the catalog all belong to the V60 I. So the GAN GT is the match for the D3 and D4 at 163 hp, the D5 at 205 and 215 hp and the T5 at 245 hp.
The U.S. first-generation T5 came as a 2.0L turbo four-cylinder rated at 240 hp in the Drive-E and as a 2.5L turbo five-cylinder rated at 250 hp in the original T5 AWD; the catalog's 2.0 T5 rows at 239, 241 and 245 are metric figures and there is no 2.5 T5 row, so compare by engine first. The turbocharged 3.0L six-cylinder in the U.S. T6 AWD R-Design has no row in the catalog yet. Dealers could fit Volvo and Polestar software upgrades from the 2012 model year, for the V60 D5 and the T6 with all-wheel drive.
Volvo V60 tuning FAQ
Volvo V60 D3 tune: what changes for the engine and the Geartronic transmission?
The module doesn't reprogram the transmission. Factory software, checksums and the flash counter stay untouched, and the engine's factory protections stay active. For the D3 with 163 hp, the catalog shows 210 hp on the GAN GT. Those are the stated gains for this engine type, not a dyno reading from your wagon.
Does the catalog cover a 2020 V60?
A 2020 V60 is a V60 II. In Europe it came with T4, T5 and T6 gasoline engines and D3 and D4 diesels until 2020, then with mild hybrids. The V60 II has no rows here: not the D3 and D4 diesels, not the T6 with 310 hp, not the mild hybrids, and not the plug-in T6 and T8 Recharge. U.S. V60 II models were badged T5, T6 and T8, and none of them has a row yet.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 tune?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU flash tune without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
