Each engine gets its own performance chip: GAN GT / GTL or GAN GA / GA+. Prices are per performance chip and include the current discount.

Not sure which engine you have?

The badge alone isn’t enough: in this generation, the same engine came with different horsepower ratings, each with its own calibration. Check the horsepower in your owner’s manual or vehicle documents and find the matching row.

Citroen Berlingo tune: engines and generations

Citroën Berlingo tune: the first-generation 2.0 HDi

Citroën has never sold the Berlingo in the U.S. With no U.S. trims or model years, you match yours by engine, output and ECU system. The first-generation Berlingo came with the 2.0 HDi diesel, the DW10TD at 90 hp and 205 Nm, built from November 1999 to 2005. Two GAN GT versions cover it, one for each ECU system: Bosch, or Siemens/Delphi.

Pick by the ECU in your car; both versions start from the same 90 hp. On the Bosch version, the GAN GT takes a Berlingo 2.0 HDi to 117 hp and 267 Nm. Those are rated gains for the engine type, not dyno results from your car.

Berlingo II: diesels lead

Citroën showed the Berlingo II (B9) in Geneva in 2008, then facelifted it in April 2012 and March 2015. The Peugeot Partner is its twin. The 1.6 HDi makes 75 hp, or 90 hp until July 2010; the e-HDi makes 92 hp until 2015; and the BlueHDi makes 100 and 120 hp from April 2015.

Gas engines were the 1.6 VTi at 120 hp from November 2009, the 1.6 VTi at 95 or 98 hp from July 2010, and the 1.2 PureTech at 110 hp from April 2016. You will not find the 95 hp VTi in the catalog.

Berlingo III, from 2018

The Berlingo III (K9) debuted in March 2018 on the EMP2 platform, which the Peugeot Rifter, the Opel Combo, the Fiat Doblò and the Toyota Proace City also use. Engines started with the 1.2 PureTech 110 and the 1.5 BlueHDi 100, then added the PureTech 130 and the BlueHDi 130. The Berlingo III is built in M and XL lengths, as a van and as a passenger model. The electric ë-Berlingo has no row in the catalog.

FAQ

Citroen Berlingo tuning FAQ

Berlingo 1.6 HDi tune: 90 hp, e-HDi 92 hp or BlueHDi 100 hp?

Go by the year: the 90 hp HDi was built until July 2010, the 92 hp e-HDi from July 2010 to April 2015, and the BlueHDi from April 2015. All three take the GAN GT, which is rated at up to 30% more power on turbo engines.

Berlingo III: which is mine, 1.5 BlueHDi 100 or 130 hp, PureTech 110 or 130 hp?

Check the engine and output in your vehicle documents; the catalog lists all four, the PureTech 110 and 130 and the BlueHDi 100 and 130.

What does the GAN GA+ do for a gas Berlingo: 1.4i, 1.6i or 1.6 VTi?

Gas engines take the GAN GA+, rated at up to 12% more power. GAN also states up to 15% better gas mileage in steady driving on these engines.

Berlingo performance chip or flash tuner: what is the difference?

Unlike a flash tuner, which rewrites the factory software, the GAN module sits between the engine sensors and the ECU and adjusts their signals. It comes off in about a minute and leaves no traces. Your factory warranty is preserved: the ECU software is never changed, and the module can be removed at any time.

Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 tune?

Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU flash tune without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
