What makes the Foton Tunland special
Foton Tunland tuner: the 2025 pickups and the catalog engine
Foton launched the new Tunland in Europe in February 2025 in Poland and in March 2025 in Spain. Foton has never officially sold the Tunland in the U.S. Those pickups run a 2.0 diesel with about 162 hp and 390 Nm, and some sources rate the mild hybrid versions a little higher.
The catalog lists just one Tunland engine, a 2.4 gas unit with 134 hp and 200 Nm, and it is not the engine of the European pickups. That 2.4 gas engine belongs to versions sold outside Europe, such as in the Gulf states.

What does a Foton Tunland performance chip add to the 2.4 gas engine?
The 134 hp 2.4 reaches 150 hp and 224 Nm with the GAN GA+, which is rated at up to 12% more power; those are catalog figures for this engine type, not a dyno reading of your car.
Does the Tunland G7 or V9 with the 2.0 diesel have a GAN performance chip?
No. The 2.0 diesel fitted to the G7 and the V9 has no row in the catalog.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 tune?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU flash tune without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
