Each engine gets its own performance chip: GAN GT / GTL or GAN GA / GA+. Prices are per performance chip and include the current discount.
Not sure which engine you have?
The badge alone isn’t enough: in this generation, the same engine came with different horsepower ratings, each with its own calibration. Check the horsepower in your owner’s manual or vehicle documents and find the matching row.
Same badge, different factory power outputs in this generation:
Honda Accord VIII tune: what changes
The module plugs in between the sensors and the engine control unit (ECU) and adjusts their signals. It never rewrites your ECU software: your factory warranty is preserved, and the module can be removed at any time.

What makes the Honda Accord VIII special
Honda Accord 8th gen tune: the U.S. cars run on gas engines
Honda sold the eighth-generation Accord in the U.S. for model years 2008 through 2012; the 2013 U.S. Accord is the next generation. U.S. trims ran from the LX to the EX-L V-6, all with gas engines: a 2.4 four-cylinder or a 3.5 V6. The 2008 Accord 2.4 came in 177 hp and 190 hp versions, so confirm your exact output; the table has a row for each. The biggest catalog gain on this page, 51 hp, belongs to a diesel rather than a gas engine.
On the European CU sedan and CW Tourer, the Type S carries the 2.2 i-DTEC N22B2 with 180 hp and 380 Nm, while the base engine has 150 hp and 350 Nm. The catalog row for the Type S reads 179 hp; the GAN GT adds 51 hp and 101 Nm on top. The base diesel takes the GAN GT too, gaining 43 hp and 95 Nm. That covers the first cars, built from May 2008.
The gas Accord VIII: what a performance chip does
European gas engines: the 2.0 i-VTEC (155 hp, 190 Nm) and the 2.4 i-VTEC (201 hp, 230 Nm with the manual transmission). Both naturally aspirated engines use the GAN GA+. The U.S. 3.5 i-VTEC V6 is rated at 268 hp for 2008 and 271 hp from 2009, has a row in the table for each, and as a naturally aspirated engine takes the GAN GA+.
On a gas Accord, then, the gain is far smaller than the Type S diesel's. The European Tourer wagon shares those engines from the first day.
Honda Accord VIII tuning FAQ
Type S 2.2 i-DTEC with 180 hp: how much does the GAN GT add?
The Type S starts at 179 hp and 380 Nm in the catalog; with the GAN GT it reaches 230 hp and 481 Nm. Those are the rated figures for this engine type, not a dyno result from your car.
Accord performance chip: what does the GAN GA+ add on the 2.0 and 2.4 i-VTEC?
Expect +19 hp and +23 Nm (+17 lb-ft) on the 2.0 i-VTEC, and +24 hp and +28 Nm (+21 lb-ft) on the 2.4 i-VTEC with 201 hp. Both gains sit at the GAN GA+ rating of up to 12% more power.
What should you check on a 2.2 i-DTEC before you fit a performance chip?
This European diesel has two weak spots to check: the diesel particulate filter (DPF), which clogs on short trips, and the flexible EGR bypass hose, which can crack. The performance chip adds power; it does not clean the filter or replace the hose.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 tune?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU flash tune without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
