What makes the Land Rover Range Rover Evoque special

Range Rover Evoque tune: the engine changed in 2015

U.S. Evoques use gas turbo engines, so the TD4 and SD4 diesels on this page are European. On the early 2.2 TD4, 150 hp and 400 Nm become 193 hp with the GAN GT. Your choice of tuner hinges on the build date, because the diesel changed in 2015. February 2015 ended the 2.2. The facelift then added the 2.0 Ingenium TD4 at 150 hp, which again reaches 193 hp with the module, and a 179 hp version that reaches 230 hp. The 150 hp front-wheel-drive eD4 uses the same 150 hp figures.

The 2.2 SD4 at 190 hp reaches 244 hp, and the 2.0 Si4 gas engine at 241 hp reaches 306 hp. The U.S. 2.0 Si4 of the 2012 to 2017 model years, rated at 240 hp, is that 241 hp row and takes the same GAN GT. From 2019, the second Evoque (L551) is its own generation, with mild-hybrid 2.0 Ingenium engines. The U.S. second generation has come as the P250 and, through 2023, the mild-hybrid P300, and neither has a row in the catalog yet.

Range Rover Evoque performance chip: TD4 150 or SD4 190?

Same 2.2 engine, two power levels: 400 Nm in the TD4 against 420 Nm in the SD4. With the GAN GT, the TD4 reaches 193 hp and the SD4 reaches 244 hp. Those are the stated gains for these engine types, not dyno results from your vehicle.

Is an Evoque stage 1 tune the same as a plug-in performance chip?

A flash tune replaces the software in the control unit; the GAN performance chip sits between the sensors and the ECU and only adjusts what they send. Your factory warranty is preserved. The ECU software is never changed, and the module comes off at any time.

Which second-generation Evoque (L551) engines are covered?

The D150 and D180 are on this page: the 2.0 TD4 at 150 hp and 380 Nm, and at 179 hp and 430 Nm. The D240 and the P250 have no separate Evoque row: the same engines are listed as the 2.0 D and the 2.0 T of the Range Rover Velar. The D200 and P300 work the same way, listed as the 2.0 D and 2.0 T of the Jaguar F-Pace. The D165, the 1.5 P160, the P200 and the plug-in hybrids have no row in the catalog yet.

Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 tune?

Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU flash tune without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
