What makes the Porsche Macan special
Porsche Macan tune: the year decides the engine
Since the 2015 model year Porsche has sold the gas Macan in the U.S. as the Macan, Macan T, Macan S, Macan GTS and Macan Turbo, and since 2025 also as an electric Macan, so the badge alone won't tell you the engine. Which Porsche Macan tune fits depends on the year, since the 95B changed its engine range in 2018. Before 2018 you'll find the 2.0 TFSI at 252 hp, the S Diesel at 258 hp and the 360 hp GTS 3.0 V6. After the 2018 change, the 2.0 TFSI is rated at 245 hp (265 hp from 2021), the diesels disappear and the GTS gets a 2.9 V6 from 2019. The diesel Macans are European-market versions.
A U.S. 2.0 turbo Macan rated at 252 hp lines up with the catalog's 2.0 TFSI row, so read the hp on your window sticker. GAN GT coverage: the 2.0 TFSI at 237 and 252 hp, the 3.0 Diesel at 211, 245 and 250 hp, plus the S Diesel and the GTS 3.0 V6. There are no catalog rows for the Macan S, the 400 hp Turbo or the 2.9 V6 engines. The later U.S. 2.0 rated at 261 hp and the early Macan S rated at 340 hp have no rows yet. The 440 hp Turbo with the Performance Package has no separate Macan entry; the catalog lists the same engine as the Porsche Cayenne 3.6 GTS.

What can a GAN GT performance chip add to a Macan 2.0 TFSI at 252 hp?
From 252 hp and 370 Nm stock, the 252 hp version reaches 319 hp and 469 Nm with the GAN GT, per the catalog. Treat these as the stated gains for this engine type, not dyno results from your own car. For turbo engines, GAN states up to 30% with the GAN GT.
Flash tune or plug-in performance chip on the Macan 2.0 TFSI?
A flash tune alters the factory calibration; the GAN module leaves it alone, and the engine keeps its factory protections. The 2.0 TFSI at 245 hp from 2018 has no Macan entry of its own; it is listed as the 2.0 TFSI of the Audi A4.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 tune?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU flash tune without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
